Established in 2015 by Paul Davis, our independent, award‑winning salon sits on the edge of Cambridge’s historic centre and proudly one of the smallest hairdressing salons in the country. Fully renovated from floor to ceiling, The Salon Cambridge blends a strong industrial feel with a light, contemporary design — stylish yet always relaxed and welcoming.
On our doorstep, you’ll find micro‑pubs, restaurants, and beauty services, with the energy of nearby universities adding to the area’s vibrant feel — all just a ten‑minute walk from the city centre.
We pride ourselves on being creative, forward‑thinking hairdressers with a strong commitment to exceptional service (our reviews speak for themselves!). Our experienced stylists Paul, Kate, and Gemma are classically trained and combine timeless techniques with modern ideas to deliver personalised cuts, colours, and styles.

PAUL
Paul is a highly skilled (Master craftsman Hair Council ) hairdresser with a professional career that spans more than 30 years in salon experience, working in high-end, independent hair salons in London, Birmingham and Cambridge.
Paul has an obvious enthusiasm and passion for his work and people which comes from growing up with a deep-rooted artistic steak – so creativity is in his blood! Paul loves a good old chat and is a firm favourite with clients thanks to his super-friendly nature and of course, his skill with the scissors and colouring techniques. From classic cuts to curls and everything in-between!
Paul is a stylish guy with a keen interest in art and fashion, but he is also a bit of a self-confessed geek and likes nothing better than to find the latest bit of technology to enhance his life!
His wife and young son helps keep him grounded and happy at home.

KATE
Working in the hairdressing industry for over 21yrs, Kate brings wealth of knowledge and passion for hairdressing to the team at The Salon Cambridge. She brings a blend of hairdressing techniques together with her passion for exploring new techniques. Kate’s signature haircut is a bob, she really has great precision when it comes to any bob style that gets requested!
Kate loves her family and outside of work, spends quality time capturing special moments with her two munchkins and significant other! Kate is super friendly, bubbly and most of all cares about your experience in the salon and really prides herself on making sure you leave the salon looking like you’re a superstar!
